geographic

These pieces look at the idea that we are where we come from and the ease or difficulty of identifying that location. Maps are the tool generally used to pinpoint location. Other cultures have used heiroglyphs, petroglyphs and petrographs to give the same information. Is where we are from, and therefore who we are a matter of a matter of perspective or opinion? I tried to use the layering of tissue and thin paint to create a changing sense of location and perspective to contextualize these ideas.
