urban landscapes

This series explors the influence of color, or lack of it, in the environment. Besides the frequent grayness of the Chicago sky, this is a color that is often used to describe the visual experience of a chronically depressed person. But gray is also a color often used in places of respite, peace and tranquility as a symbol of detachment and balance. I try to create create environmental pieces that are beautiful in their own right, but also integrate the disparity between the impressions of gray.
